Biography

Dr. Beans is thrilled to become part of the St. Matthew’s family. She is moving from Seattle, Washington with her husband to teach middle school science. Dr. Beans is returning to middle school science where she started teaching at the beginning of her career. She also taught high school chemistry, earth & space science, physical science, and environmental sciences in Pennsylvania. Her most recent job in Washington State was teaching “teachers how to teach” at South Seattle College for 8 years. She always said that if she had the opportunity to return to the middle school science classroom it would be awesome. In addition to science and math, her passion is student learning styles and mentoring. She is looking forward to joining the St. Matthew’s community.
