Biography

Mrs. Gaskill began teaching at St. Matthew's in 2000, shortly after relocating from her native England. She trained as an actress at The Drama Centre, London, and spent many years touring and teaching for the National Theatre and the English Shakespeare Company. At St. Matthew’s, Mrs. Gaskill is the Performing Arts Coordinator. She teaches the drama elective, directs the annual Spring Musical, works with the elementary students on various drama presentations, assists middle school teachers with scene work in English and History, and co-directs an elementary after-school musical. She is proud to have been part of the team that created the 8th grade Shakespeare Program, STAR. She is also an 8th grade student advisor and helps the Student Action Leadership Team (SALT) run the annual school talent show. Her goal is to keep theatre alive and to inspire her students to be life-long theatre lovers. She loves spending time with her husband and two sons, Harry and Johnny.
