Biography

Ms. Humes or “Magistra”, as she is known, has been teaching Latin at St. Matthew’s since 2007. She is a 6th grade advisor as well as a faculty advisor to our Student Government program, S.A.L.T. As a classics enthusiast, Magistra is a fan of the history, art, architecture, literature, philosophy, mathematics, sporting events and scientific discoveries the Roman and Greeks created. She is happy to teach such an important discipline at a school where you can literally imagine you are nestled among the seven founding hills of Ancient Rome.
