Biography
Mrs. Stacey Juelis joined the St. Matthew’s community in 2014, first teaching Fourth Grade and then moving into her “sweet spot”, the Third Grade classroom. Before landing at St. Matthew's, Mrs. Juelis taught lower elementary for five years at a private school in Malibu. Prior to that, she worked in charter schools in downtown Los Angeles, and traveled the country directing theatre for both children and adults. Mrs. Juelis also loves helping Mrs. Gaskill with the after school elementary musicals. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Education, as well as her California Teaching Credential. She believes children are capable of amazing things, and if they are invested in their learning, surrounded by supportive and caring adults, and are comfortable taking risks in the classroom, then they can reach all of their goals. Mrs. Juelis loves Third Grade because the children are excited to move up to the next level in writing, reading, math, and all other areas of the challenging and fascinating curriculum.
