The Journey through St. Matthew’s
…having the confidence to lead and the compassion to serve
As an Episcopal school grounded in the values of inclusion, our community welcomes families of all faiths and cultures. St. Matthew’s continues its tradition of inspiring a love of learning at every age and teaching children how to self advocate through our model of service leadership to help each child flourish to their true potential.
From 8-weeks to 8th grade, the opportunities at St. Matthew’s connect families for a lifetime. Building character in a purposeful way has been an integral part of a St. Matthew’s education since its founding in 1949. Beginning with the earliest lessons available in a community-oriented infant/toddler program through middle school years, St. Matthew’s supports children’s growth and development at every age.
The School incorporates five core values laid out in the Character Covenant that is signed by every student and valued by every parent: Empathy, Fairness, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Learning to be of service to others is a vital part of our educational program, which is reflected in the School motto, Serve Lead Flourish.
We invite you to explore the Journey through St. Matthew’s with our programming in Parent-Infant/Toddler, Little Falcons, and the Early Childhood programs at the School.

Little Falcons
Little Falcons is a five-day per week drop-off program for children who are two (2) years old by August 1 of the year they wish to begin the program. The program provides a safe and positive transition from a parent-toddler program to the greater independence of preschool. Through play-based instruction with experienced, caring teachers, students will:
-
Build confidence
-
Gain valuable social and emotional skills
-
Cultivate a positive self-image
-
Develop language, number sense, science, and art concepts
-
Foster a love of learning
-
Enjoy hands-on experiences through art, stories, music, movement, and play
-
Develop readiness for a longer preschool day
Classes meet Monday through Friday from September through mid-June of each year. Our morning program is from 8:30-11:30 am with the option for extended enrichment afternoon opportunities.

Parent-Infant/Toddler Program
The St. Matthew’s Parent͘-Infant/Toddler Program is an auxiliary program of the Parish of St. Matthew, serving those families of the parish, School, and larger community who have children and infants age three and younger.
In this supportive and friendly setting, parents accompany their children as they learn, play, and socialize with others. Age-based, weekly classes span the full school year and are offered in the mornings and some evenings. In these classes, children build confidence and security in a safe classroom setting prior to entering Little Falcons and/or Preschool.
