…having the confidence to lead and the compassion to serve

As an Episcopal school grounded in community and faith, we celebrate childhood, empowering each student to challenge their mind, grow in character, and lead with courage. St. Matthew’s Parish School welcomes families of all faiths and cultures, continuing its tradition of inspiring a love of learning at every age and teaching children how to self advocate through our model of service leadership to help each child flourish to their true potential.

From 8-weeks to 8th grade, the opportunities at St. Matthew’s connect families for a lifetime. Building character in a purposeful way has been an integral part of a St. Matthew’s education since its founding in 1949. Beginning with the earliest lessons available in a community-oriented infant/toddler program through middle school years, St. Matthew’s supports children’s growth and development at every age.

The School incorporates five core values laid out in the Character Covenant that is signed by every student and valued by every parent: Empathy, Fairness, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Learning to be of service to others is a vital part of our educational program, which is reflected in the School motto, Serve Lead Flourish.

We invite you to explore the Journey through St. Matthew’s with our programming in Parent-Infant/Toddler and the Early Childhood programs at the School.

Parent-Infant/Toddler Program

St. Matthew’s Parent/Infant-Toddler program is a ministry of the Parish of St. Matthew, serving families of the parish, school, and larger community who have children and infants through two-years-old. The program offers a welcoming and supportive environment where children build confidence and a strong sense of security in a classroom setting, and offers a social setting for parents.

These early experiences help children build confidence and a strong sense of security in a classroom setting, gently preparing them for Early Childhood at St. Matthew’s or other preschool programs, while offering a meaningful network of support for parents.

Classes for infants and toddlers meet weekly throughout the school year, with both morning and late afternoon options available to accommodate different schedules. Classes will once again be held in the Mill Building at the Parish of St. Matthew in the Fall of 2026.

To register for the program beginning in September, please click below and be sure to select the class that matches your child’s age.
