Our Athletics Philosophy

The philosophy of the St. Matthew’s Athletics program is holistic, addressing the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of our student-athletes. We aim to be competitive while fostering a spirit of inclusion through our “no cut” policy in Middle School, ensuring every student has the opportunity to participate.

Engaging in sports at St. Matthew’s not only hones athletic skills, but also strengthens friendships, teaches teamwork, instills values of fairness and integrity, boosts confidence, and most importantly, ensures that every student has fun. Our athletics program is designed to create an exciting, encouraging, and welcoming environment where every student feels valued and inspired to do their best.
